Ultra-Low Power Consumption GW8811 Bluetooth Chip

2020-05-07

The development of wearable devices and the industry of the Internet of Things drive constant demand for Bluetooth devices. According to Gartner data analysis, it is predicted that by 2023, the global IoT terminal devices will reach 20 billion units, and Bluetooth device shipments will reach 5.4 billion units.

As the core technology of wireless connection, Bluetooth is an important driving force to accelerate the wireless layout of the Internet of Things.

Geehy GW8811 low-power Bluetooth 4.2 chip is based on Arm® Cortex®-M0 core. The operating frequency is 64MHz, the Flash is 512Kbytes, and SRAM is 32Kbytes. It features low power, high integration, and high-cost performance, suitable for intelligent wearing, smart home, Bluetooth remote control, health application, human-machine interface devices, and other applications.

Low Power Consumption- core requirements for BLE product design

Due to size limitations, energy consumption should be fully considered in the product design to realize the long-term operation of the IoT wireless devices. At present, GW8811 has the advantage of ultra-low power consumption in RF, power management, and system control, which can effectively meet the demand of Bluetooth devices for low-power operation.

High Integration - help to design small-size BLE products

GW8811 is integrated with Balun, which does not need an off-chip impedance matching network and external crystal oscillator load capacitor, and can save BOM

cost and PCB area to the greatest extent. It integrates a high-performance 2.4GHz Bluetooth RF transceiver, Bluetooth modulator-demodulator, and DC-DC step-down converter to maximize work efficiency within the range of minimum energy consumption.
