As the automotive electronic and electrical architecture accelerates its evolution toward a "central computing + regional control" model, the requirements for MCUs in various edge execution units such as vehicle body control systems, lighting systems, thermal management systems, and sensor nodes are undergoing significant changes. These MCUs must not only meet stringent requirements related to functional and information security, but also achieve a delicate balance between cost, power consumption, and supply chain stability.

As an important new member of the G32A automotive MCU family, Geehy officially announces the mass production of the G32A1085/1065/1045 series – highly reliable automotive MCUs based on the Arm® Cortex® -M0+ core.

• Up to 55 I/Os can be mapped to external interrupt vectors

Functional Safety and Information Security

The G32A1085/1065/1045 series integrates security capabilities directly into the hardware at the underlying level:

• Functional Safety: MPU, CRC, independent watchdog, clock monitoring, full ECC for Flash/SRAM

• Information Security: TRNG true random number generator, AES256 encryption module, SHA256 hashing function, 96-bit unique ID

This means that, from code storage to data transmission, and from key generation to authentication, G32A1085 provides hardware-level protection, significantly reducing the burden of software-based security development.

Fully domestic supply chain: From design to final testing, fully under domestic control

The G32A1085/1065/1045 series represents a complete domestic supply chain from chip design, wafer manufacturing to packaging and testing. This means not only more stable production capabilities, predictable delivery times, but also more efficient local technical support and rapid response times. In the context of increasing adoption of domestic automotive-grade chips, the G32A1085/1065/1045 series provides customers with a reliable and secure MCU solution for their needs.

Three mass-production reference solutions: Reducing the time from evaluation to mass production

Geehy has developed three complete reference design solutions based on the G32A1085. All of these solutions have passed functional testing.

Solution 1: Ultrasonic Radar

• Integrates multiple timer modules for controlling the transmission and reception of ultrasonic reverse radar signals, ensuring data integrity during simultaneous transmission and reception across 8 channels.

• Integrated power monitoring with ADC sampling for timely response to under/over-voltage faults

The system utilizes a CAN bus for expansion interfaces and provides custom algorithm interfaces. Developers can flexibly add features such as custom distance thresholds, adjustable alarm logic, multi-device coordination, and OTA updates based on the main control unit.

• Equipped with a high-performance computing core, it performs multiple software-based filters, temperature compensation, clutter removal, and range calibration on the raw echo data transmitted by the 8-unit GURC01 . The use of a dedicated GURC01 ultrasonic module simplifies the hardware architecture and reduces BOM costs.

Solution 2: In-vehicle Refrigerator Control

• Through mechanisms such as multi-dimensional monitoring, fault classification, watchdog systems, startup protection, and lockout features, the risk of uncontrolled operation and post-sales failures is significantly reduced, meeting automotive-grade safety requirements.

• Utilizes Boot verification, parameter CRC checks, permission controls, and upgrade tracking to prevent the injection of illegal parameters and faulty firmware, ensuring the integrity of system operations.

• By utilizing highly integrated peripherals, reducing the number of external components, and enabling parameterized reuse across platforms, BOM costs, PCB area, as well as development and maintenance expenses are effectively reduced, thereby enhancing product competitiveness.

• Integrates DTC, freeze-frame functionality, online upgrades, and production testing diagnostic tools. Significantly improves the efficiency of mass production testing and the speed at which post-sales failures can be identified, thereby reducing maintenance cycles.

Solution 3: Automotive ADB Headlight

• Focuses on essential peripherals required for the headlight control unit (communications, SPI, CAN, GPIO, Timer, diagnostics, basic lighting functions). Avoids excessive computing power, reducing BOM costs and software complexity.

• Integrated with watchdog, fault input, ADC sampling, communication verification, timeout protection, and state machine shutdown features. Key states are traceable. Power supply and communication links include fault detection and protection mechanisms.

• Provides lightweight MCAL support with reliable coding standards, accelerating mass production integration.
