Balancing Performance & Cost: Geehy G32R502 Real-Time MCU/DSP Enables Upgrades for AI Power Supplies and Motion Control

September 22, 2026 G32R502 Real-Time MCU/DSP

As new energy and industrial automation continue to evolve, real-time control systems require more processing power, higher control precision, and greater reliability. At the same time, cost control remains a key challenge.

Geehy has launched the new G32R502 series of cost-effective, high-performance real-time MCUs/DSPs. Based on the proven G32R5 platform, the series combines a powerful processing core, built-in algorithm accelerators, enhanced peripherals, and secure memory features. It balances processing power, performance, peripheral resources, and cost, helping developers upgrade next-generation AI power supplies and motion-control products more efficiently.

High-Performance Processing Platform for Real-Time Computing

The G32R502 uses an Arm® Cortex®-M52 core based on the Arm v8.1-M architecture. It supports operation at up to 200MHz across a wide temperature range of −40°C to 125°C, providing powerful real-time processing performance.

• Built-in single-precision floating-point unit (FPU) improves calculation speed and accuracy.

• Integrated NVIC nested vectored interrupt controller and MPU memory protection unit support fast interrupt response and secure operation.

• The 4KB I-Cache and 4KB D-Cache, together with a six-channel DMA controller, reduce Flash access and shorten algorithm execution time.

Algorithm Acceleration for Real-Time Control and Edge AI

The G32R502 integrates Helium™ MVE vector extensions and Geehy’s proprietary Zidian math instruction extension. These features reduce calculation time and CPU access latency, improving the execution of complex real-time control algorithms.

• Helium™ vector SIMD parallel processing improves DSP signal processing and edge-AI performance.

• TMU trigonometric function accelerator reduces the calculation load of trigonometric functions in FOC vector control.

• FCAU floating-point calculation acceleration unit adds square-root and division instructions to improve floating-point performance.

• CRC engine and VCRC instructions perform data verification in hardware, reducing the CPU workload.

Secure Memory Architecture for Reliable Program Execution

The G32R502 integrates 256KB of Flash and 40KB of SRAM, with dual ECC protection to improve system reliability and support remote firmware updates.

• Flash is divided into two independent 128KB banks. A/B Swap dual-bank code switching supports secure OTA updates.

• SRAM supports flexible ITCM/DTCM tightly coupled memory configurations. Real-time control code can be stored in tightly coupled memory to improve execution efficiency.

• The device supports third-party dual-region secure development. Combined with the chip’s unique identification number (UID), this provides comprehensive protection for program and device data.

Enhanced Control Peripherals for Greater System Precision

The G32R502 provides high-precision control peripherals for power-supply and motor-control applications. These peripherals support the demanding requirements of high-performance FOC algorithms and closed-loop power-control systems.

• 14 PWM channels: Provide 150ps high-resolution HRPWM. Initial phase deviation between modules is no more than 10ns, enabling precise control signals. Integrated dead-time insertion and hardware fault protection help protect power devices.

• Three enhanced capture (CAP) modules: Precisely capture external timing signals.

• One quadrature encoder (QEP) module: Supports clockwise and counterclockwise modes for position and speed detection.

• Flexible Logic Block (FLB): Supports user-defined logic and expands peripheral interconnection capabilities.

Precise and Fast Sensing for Optimized Signal Processing

The G32R502 includes a complete analog signal chain for fast, high-precision acquisition and processing of multiple signals.

• Two 12-bit ADCs, with a maximum sampling rate of 3.72MSPS: Support up to 21 external input channels. Each ADC includes four independent post-processing blocks (PPBs).

• Four window comparators (COMP) with 12-bit reference DACs: Include digital filters for fast voltage monitoring and fault detection.

• Two 12-bit buffered DAC outputs: Generate analog signals for closed-loop regulation.

• One temperature sensor: Supports temperature compensation for stable measurements under extreme operating conditions.

Comprehensive Communication Peripherals for Efficient Connectivity

The G32R502 integrates a wide range of mainstream industrial communication interfaces to support high-speed networking and multiple data-transmission requirements.

• One PMBus power-management bus interface supports communication with digital power equipment.

• Two I²C interfaces, one SPI interface, three UART interfaces, and one LIN interface compatible with UART support communication with general-purpose devices.

• Two CAN interfaces, one of which supports CAN FD, enable high-speed industrial networking.

Industrial-Grade Reliability for Complex Environments

With strong reliability, security, and interference immunity, the G32R502 is designed to operate reliably in complex environments and support stable, continuous equipment operation.

• Operating temperature: −40°C~125°C

• HBM: ±4kV; CDM: ±1kV

• Compliant with AEC-Q100 Grade 1 and IEC 61508
