BMP561 Single-Cell Battery Fuel Gauge Series

The newly released high-integration and high-precision single-cell battery fuel gauge is designed specifically for the battery metering market. Based on the Arm® Cortex®-M0+ core, it features built-in programmable flash memory and supports both lithium-ion and lithium-polymer battery packs. Additionally, it supports SHA-256 authentication for enhanced security and parallel batteries for increased capacity.

Supports current sense resistors as low as 1mΩ

HMAC-SHA256 authentication responder for improved battery pack security

Two independent ADCs

  • Supports simultaneous current and voltage sampling
  • Provide high-precision coulomb counter with input offset voltage error <1μV

Low-voltage(2V) operation

Supports battery pack side power monitoring

Power-saving Modes

  • Typical sleep mode: 18μA
  • Typical deep sleep mode: 8μA
  • Typical shutdown mode (CE=0): 0.5μA

Internal and external temperature sensing

100/400kHz I2C bus communication interface for high-speed programming and data access

Single-wire HSC for host communication
